Advanced Cert in Cyber Forensic Module 2: Incident Response (Part A & Part B)

Overview

Given the frequency and complexity of today's cyber-attacks, incident responders should be armed with the latest tools, memory analysis techniques, and enterprise methodologies in order to identify and assess the impact of incidents, track and contain advanced adversaries and to remediate incidents. This module will focus on the cyber security fundamentals relating to incident response.

Part A focuses on the 6-step incident response framework and different cyber-attack vectors, the concept of base lining normal day-to-day activities in order to detect anomalies, which may point to potential cyber-attacks and containment and quarantine strategies.  

Part B focuses on developing the skillsets and techniques to perform data and evidence extraction as part of identification and containment phase, and various methods to eradicate cyber threats as well as considerations for recovering production during a cyber incident.

    Course assessment will be based on classroom exercises and presentation. 

    Fees and Funding

    SkillsFuture Series 

    Course fee grant at 70% of course fees (excluding GST) for participants who are successfully enrolled by SMU into approved courses under the Programme. Participants must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents.

    SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy ("MCES")
    Up to 90% of course fees for Singapore Citizens aged 40 years and above

    Enhanced Training Support for SMEs ("ETSS")
    Up to 90% of course fees for employees of SMEs who are Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents

    Workfare Training Support Scheme ("WTS")
    Up to 95% of course fees for Singapore Citizens aged 35 years and above (13 years and above for persons with disabilities) earning a monthly income of not more than S$2,000.

    SkillsFuture Credit
    Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above, and self-funding may use their SkillsFuture Credit (up to S$500) to defray part of the course fee. Please click User Guide on how to submit your claim. SkillsFuture Credit claims may be submitted by logging in via MySkillsFuture.sg.

    Absentee Payroll

    Full Fee: S$3,424 per participant (including GST).

    Nett fees payable per participant after SSG Funding:
