Private markets continued to draw strong interests and funds from investors, with some US$750 billion capital raised in 2018, underpinned by expectations that private equity (PE), the largest private asset class, will continue to outperform public markets.

For investment professionals and investors, PE offers potential for alpha and portfolio diversification. For entrepreneurs and business owners, PE offers alternative sources of funding by strategic investors who can add value to the business.

The Private Equity Foundation workshop aims to provide participants with foundational knowledge on the PE investment process. Facilitated by season practitioners, participants will learn how different strategies are deployed in developed and emerging markets, how PE fund managers source for deals, how they execute due diligence in emerging markets in Asia, what are the challenges face in managing portfolio companies and how to execute exit strategies to maximize returns.

This highly interactive workshop will be delivered using real life cases to focus on the practical aspects of private equity investments.
