This course will give participants an overview of different approaches to plan, build, deploy and operate digital transformation projects in an organisation. It will focus on breadth of potential that can be attained from successful deployment of transformation projects. It introduces a framework which explores the five critical perspectives namely: Stakeholder Network, Competitor Analysis, Data Asset, Ideation and Value Creation. This framework helps participants to holistically work through typical challenges and appreciate the dependencies in planning a sustainable transformation project that generates business value.

Fees and Funding

SkillsFuture Series 

Course fee grant at 70% of course fees (excluding GST) for participants who are successfully enrolled by SMU into approved courses under the Programme. Participants must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents.

SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy ("MCES")
Up to 90% of course fees for Singapore Citizens aged 40 years and above

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs ("ETSS")
Up to 90% of course fees for employees of SMEs who are Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents

Workfare Training Support Scheme ("WTS")
Up to 95% of course fees for Singapore Citizens aged 35 years and above (13 years and above for persons with disabilities) earning a monthly income of not more than S$2,000.

SkillsFuture Credit
Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above, and self-funding may use their SkillsFuture Credit (up to S$500) to defray part of the course fee. Please click User Guide on how to submit your claim. SkillsFuture Credit claims may be submitted by logging in via MySkillsFuture.sg.

Dr Charles Ling
Chief Operating Officer of Open Sesame Startups Pte Ltd

Dr Charles Ling is the Chief Operating Officer of Open Sesame Startups and the winner of the Education Leadership Award in The Asia’s Education Excellence Awards in 2014. In his current capacity, Dr Ling oversees the development and management of the business unit which supports the development of promising food-centric startups through incubation, acceleration and commercialisation phases.  In addition, Dr Ling also oversees the technology adoption of the group holding company and its subsidiaries. With more than 15 years of leadership experience in the areas of education and information technology, Dr Ling held the roles of Group Chief Operating Officer of Informatics Education, Director & Associate Professor of National University of Singapore (NUS) and Head of the Office of CIO of Singapore Exchange. In NUS, he founded the Strategic Technology Management Institute (STMI) which is a CET that specialises in technology management training. Dr Ling was a board member of Natural Intelligence Solutions and NCC Education.  He has been active in industry development and held appointments such as Council Member in the Industry Advisory Council of School of Computing, National University of Singapore, Council Member in the SunTone Architectural Council, Chair of Intellectual Capital in the itSMF Singapore Chapter and EXCO member of in the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SITF).

Dr Ling has a Doctorate of Philosophy degree from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) where his research area was in Computer Integrated Manufacturing.
