About the Liquid Studio
The Accenture Liquid Studio features an open environment where clients work with highly skilled Accenture engineers to turn concepts into applications and solutions with speed and agility. At the studio, Accenture helps clients reduce development time from months to days by applying rapid development approaches including Agile methodologies and DevOps, and experimenting with disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain and serverless architectures.

Fees and Funding

SkillsFuture Series 

Course fee grant at 70% of course fees (excluding GST) for participants who are successfully enrolled by SMU into approved courses under the Programme. Participants must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents.

SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy ("MCES")
Up to 90% of course fees for Singapore Citizens aged 40 years and above

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs ("ETSS")
Up to 90% of course fees for employees of SMEs who are Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents

Workfare Training Support Scheme ("WTS")
Up to 95% of course fees for Singapore Citizens aged 35 years and above (13 years and above for persons with disabilities) earning a monthly income of not more than S$2,000.

SkillsFuture Credit

Speaker/Trainer Bio

Shumit Gupta
Director Liquid Studios
Technology, ASEAN, Accenture

Shumit has held the role of Director for the Accenture Technology Liquid Studio since March 2017. This is a Rapid Prototyping Lab for emerging and disruptive digital technologies such as AI, Automation, Distributed Ledger Technology, Video Analytics and Immersive Technology (ARVR) amongst others. Shumit works directly with clients across the region in the proliferation of these technologies across industries and is directly responsible for originating prototyping engagements. Prior to that, Shumit served several large telco clients for 15 years across multiple geographies. Shumit's main focus was in the execution of large scale technology transformation programmes. He has led multiple client transformation initiatives across APAC through alignment and integration of strategy, process, organisation and technology.

Shumit has worked across APAC including Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh and Australia. He is currently based in Singapore.

Dr Charles Ling
Chief Operating Officer of Open Sesame Startups Pte Ltd

Dr Charles Ling is the Chief Operating Officer of Open Sesame Startups and the winner of the Education Leadership Award in The Asia’s Education Excellence Awards in 2014. In his current capacity, Dr Ling oversees the development and management of the business unit which supports the development of promising food-centric startups through incubation, acceleration and commercialisation phases.  In addition, Dr Ling also oversees the technology adoption of the group holding company and its subsidiaries. With more than 15 years of leadership experience in the areas of education and information technology, Dr Ling held the roles of Group Chief Operating Officer of Informatics Education, Director & Associate Professor of National University of Singapore (NUS) and Head of the Office of CIO of Singapore Exchange. In NUS, he founded the Strategic Technology Management Institute (STMI) which is a CET that specialises in technology management training. Dr Ling was a board member of Natural Intelligence Solutions and NCC Education.  He has been active in industry development and held appointments such as Council Member in the Industry Advisory Council of School of Computing, National University of Singapore, Council Member in the SunTone Architectural Council, Chair of Intellectual Capital in the itSMF Singapore Chapter and EXCO member of in the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SITF).

Dr Ling has a Doctorate of Philosophy degree from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) where his research area was in Computer Integrated Manufacturing.
