Participants will explore concepts such as Best Alternative To a Negotiated Agreement (BATNA), target value, reservation value, and Zone Of Possible Agreement (ZOPA), and apply them in realistic negotiation scenarios.

No coding or prior technical knowledge is required. Dr Jack Ho

Adjunct Lecturer

Singapore Management University

Dr Jack Ho has over two decades of experience in higher education and communication. He has led diversity and communication initiatives in Singapore and the United States, working with public- and private-sector stakeholders on policies and programmes. His work has been featured internationally, and he has received awards for teaching and diversity work.

As an instructor and facilitator, he encourages curiosity, self-directed learning and sharing knowledge. Over the past 12 years, he has taught a wide range of participants, from high school students to undergraduates, postgraduates, and working professionals. His courses include Managing Diversity, Internal Communication, Management Communication, Persuasion, and Unconscious Bias and Allyship. 

He holds a PhD in Communication from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, specialising in intergroup communication. He is a Change Management practitioner, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and LEGO Serious Play trainer. He has worked with organisations including GIC, Barclays, Bloomberg, AIG, Goldman Sachs, MOE, TAFEP and AWARE.

Melvin is a commercially sharp business leader with a proven track record in sales strategy, partnership growth, and high-stakes stakeholder negotiation across media, education, and regional business markets. From leading global business development and media relations at DealStreetAsia to driving Asia-wide sales strategy, P&L, and cross-border commercial growth, he brings strong deal-making instincts backed by operational discipline. He also combines this with deep adult education experience – having served in corporate and academic training roles, including Interim Dean/Adjunct Lecturer in Management & Technology, making him uniquely effective at both closing rooms and teaching them.

Combining doctoral-level research with hands-on executive practice, he bridges strategy, innovation, and execution across marketing, go-to-market, product management, and R&D. 

Stanley Sia

Stanley’s career in finance spans over 28 years, focusing on digital finance solutions, corporate finance, pan-Asia coverage, and private equity with global financial institutions. He has held external appointments including CPA Australia Singapore Division Council and Chairman of the Finance Industry Workgroup. He has chaired SATA CommHealth and its transformation sub-committee, and trained at SMU Academy on digitalisation in financial services.

His contributions have been recognised through several accolades, including Fellowship of CPA Australia (2014), Singapore Division President’s Awards for Excellence, and the Outstanding Service Award (2021).

In 2022, he received the Public Service Medal (PBM). He led team to win CX Award for Digital Sales Strategy and was recognised by IMDA as an SG Digital Leader. His academic background includes a Graduate Diploma in Techno-Entrepreneurship from Helsinki University and an MBA in Finance from Manchester University, with executive programmes at NUS, Stanford GSB and Imperial College Business School.
