Who Should Attend

This programme is best suited to marketing professionals with a sound understanding of marketing principles and practices. The programme is specifically designed for those seeking a deeper understanding of how to harness the digital revolution and the opportunities emerging marketing channels will bring to their organisations or clients. Established marketing executives will be able to update their knowledge of the current marketing landscape, while aspiring marketers will be able to develop a strategic perspective on how to use the various marketing elements to achieve marketing objectives and KPIs.

There are no prerequisites for this programme. Prior knowledge on any of the topics is not required.

Overview

In today's business world, marketing is viewed as central to creating and delivering value both to the organisation and to the customer. It impacts all aspects of a business organisation, shaping and directing corporate through to marketing strategy. Many companies acknowledge that their growth and survival depends on putting the customer at the centre of their planning. Thus, an understanding of marketing is essential for any business marketing activities, and helps with challenges in the ever changing market place.

Module 1 discusses the application of this understanding to consumer goods, as well as service, business-to-business, industrial and non-profit organisations, and to the growing area of e-commerce.

  • Understand the MarTech ecosystem, and how it is redefining the marketplace

  • Identify new digital channels to reach customers
  • Learn to segment and position products and services in the new business landscape
  • Create value through branding
  • Learn how MarTech has transformed the way we engage and connect with customers

Assessment

As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.

Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

SkillsFuture Credit

Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)

  • Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
  • Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
  • Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
  • Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
  • Trainees are eligible for ETSS funding only if their company's SME status is approved prior to the course commencement date. To verify your SME's status, please click here.
