Overview

Be the leader who strengthens and influences digital strategies across your organization during this time of digital disruption and rapid technology advances. HR technology needs to be viewed as a strategic vehicle to push past the status quo and to enhance business operations. In this program, you will learn how leveraging HR technology creates a digital workforce approach to improve business agility, effectively use business intelligence and leverage and upskill a more diverse workforce. By advancing your strategic digital planning skills and learning how to employ a framework for HR digital transformations, you will lead your organization beyond piecemeal technology adoption and move towards an integrated platform approach that embraces the true digitalisation of HR.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the module, each participant would be able to:

  • Craft a digital HR strategy
  • Harness HR technology to strengthen your resilience, secure your business continuity and amplify your employees’ talent
  • Employ a framework to acquire and deploy new HR technology
  • Promote digital HR and build a business case for deploying new HR technologies
  • Measure the impact of your digital HR initiatives using tangible results

Topic/Structure

1. Digital Transformation Overview

A comprehensive overview of how digital transformation have progressed in recent years. This will cover the advancement in technology and the various drivers that are impacting businesses around the world.

2. Needs Identification and Digital Solutions

The various types of digital solutions for HR to consider will be discussed in this segment. We also look at the current needs and opportunities to leverage on these solutions. 

3. Building A Business Case For Digital Transformation

Learn and practise the step-by-step approach to build a strong business case in order to get the required resources for a digital transformation.  

4. System Selection and Vendor Relations

What are the key factors to consider during system selection? How do you create a win-win partnership with an external system vendor? Get the insights from the research conducted by SHRM with HR leaders globally.  

5. Implementation Plan and Change Management

Research and surveys done by consultancy firms such as McKinsey have shown that most projects fail because of the lack of a proper change management strategy as part of the implementation plan. In this segment, participants will get to discuss how an implementation plan with a change management strategy can ensure success of the HR digital transformation.

6. Evaluation and Ongoing Support

Evaluation matrices will be discussed as well as the ongoing support that HR would require to sustain these digital transformation efforts.  

Assessment

Participants have to meet a minimum attendance rate of 75% and have to complete all assessment(s) required by the course. Only upon meeting the minimum attendance and passing the assessment will participants be issued a Certificate of Completion.

Participants who fail the assessment will be given a chance for re-assessment at a fee of SGD100.00 (excluding prevailing GST). Each participant is allowed 1 re-assessment. The re-assessment has to be taken within 7 calendar days from the end of the course date. It will be held on a weekday specified by SMU Academy and conducted during office hours. Please note that re-assessment fees are not supported by SSG Funding.

Participants who meet the minimum attendance rate but do not achieve a pass for the assessment will be issued a Certificate of Participation.

Participants are required to bring their laptop to access the course materials, class exercises and individual assessment(s).

In order to be awarded with Advanced Certificate in Future Workforce Architecture, participants are required to complete all 7 modules within 2 years.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)

  • Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
  • Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
  • Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
  • Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
