3.5 hours: Synchronous e-Learning (Weekday, 9am-12.30pm)
3.5 hours: Asynchronous e-Learning
7 hours: Classroom Training (Weekday, 9am-5pm)
Who Should Attend
This programme is aimed at educators and organisational leaders who are keen to understand and leverage Edtech to innovate from within the institutions and learning organisations. The programme is specifically designed for those who seek to integrate new technologies and tools into the learning process.
PREREQUISITES
Participants should preferably be an educator or leader of a school, university, learning teams/ organisation, or Edtech startups.
Overview
In Module 3, participants will gain a deeper understanding on the transformative capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI) and ChatGPT, an advanced conversational AI model, in shaping learning experiences. Participants will delve into the theoretical foundations, technical aspects, and ethical considerations of AI, while gaining hands-on experience with ChatGPT and understanding its current and potential uses. Embracing this new wave of emerging technology becomes crucial for learning institutions as AI continues to accelerate its adoption in the educational landscape. This module also covers different types of emerging AI technologies, expanding the horizons of educational possibilities and highlighting the advantages they bring to the learning environment and institutions.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 2-day module, participants will be able to:
- Understand the fundamentals of AI technologies
- Embracing AI to improve curriculum, student experience and engagement
- Familiarise with how Generative AI and ChatGPT are impacting education
- Discuss the ethical considerations and best practices for responsible AI use in education
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.
