Learning Objectives

At the end of the course, participants should be able to:

  • Define Agile and understand why it is being adopted in the financial services industry

  • Describe the drivers of Agile in financial services

  • Know the various Agile methodologies and understand the Scrum framework through a simulation

  • Understand how and what it takes to get organised and develop your own Agile roadmap

Business/department heads and managers in business, development, testing, maintenance or delivery of the service involving agile projects.


An assessment will be conducted at the end of the course.

Funding Incentives

1. SkillsFuture Series

Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents are eligible for 70% course fee funding (excluding GST) for successful enrolment into approved courses under the Programme. This funding is applicable to both individual and company sponsored participants.

Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above will enjoy 90% course fee funding (excluding GST).

2. SkillsFuture Credit**

Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits (up to S$500) to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.

3. Absentee Payroll

Speaker/Trainer Bio

Amelia Ching

Amelia Ching is a financial IT veteran with over 25 years’ experience. Previously the Head of Risk and Control for Citibank’s Treasury and Trade Solutions Group, her role included IT service management, application production, IT outsourcing management, global internet application Operational Readiness Management and the setup of Global and Regional Application command centre.

Amelia has been instrumental in the design and delivery of SMU Academy’s technology related programmes, facilitating and delivering both public and custom trainings and consultancy for the academy.
