As digital transformation accelerates, the widespread adoption of cloud technologies has significantly increased global energy consumption. It is crucial for ICT professionals to develop expertise in sustainability and effectively manage key metrics related to cloud operations and deployment.
This programme empowers participants with the knowledge and skills to optimise cloud technologies while prioritising sustainability. It delves into the environmental impact of cloud computing, strategies for minimising its footprint, and cutting-edge innovations that drive sustainable cloud practices.

Topic/Structure
To achieve the Advanced Certificate in Sustainable Cloud Leadership, participants will need to complete the following modules offered by SMU Academy:
Module 1: Fundamentals in Sustainability for ICT Professionals
Module 2: Sustainability in Technology & Operations
Module 3: Unlocking the Power of Cloud Computing
Module 4: Building a Sustainable Cloud: Strategies and Techniques
Module 5: Planning Sustainability Goals & Stakeholders Management
Module 6: Shaping a Greener Future through Sustainable Technological Innovation
The modules need not be taken in sequential order and can be taken in separate cohorts.
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of every module. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment for each of the 6 modules within 3 years in order to be awarded the digital Advanced Certificate in Sustainable Cloud Leadership issued by Singapore Management University.

SkillsFuture Credit
Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.
This is only applicable to self-sponsored participants. Application to utilise SkillsFuture Credits can be submitted when making payment for the course via the SMU Academy TMS Portal, and can only be made within 60 days of course start date.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
