Overview
Developed by the International Centre for Industrial Transformation (INCIT) in collaboration with leading technology companies, consulting firms, and industry and academic experts, COSIRI offers a comprehensive suite of frameworks and tools designed to assist manufacturers—regardless of size or industry—in launching, scaling, and sustaining their sustainable manufacturing transformation journeys. COSIRI encompasses the core elements of sustainability: (1) Strategy and Risk Management, (2) Sustainable Business Processes, (3) Technology, (4) Organisation and Governance, and (5) GHG Emissions.
The course provides participants with over 40 hours of classroom training, covering key topics such as sustainability, the driving forces behind it, its impact on businesses, the COSIRI 24-dimension framework, and the methodology for conducting Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) assessments.
To achieve the Certified COSIRI Assessor status, participants must apply separately and pass the the COSIRI certification examination administered by IMCS.

Learning Objectives
At the end of the 5-day course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the forces at work compelling sustainability and its impact on businesses
- Explain the rationale behind the development of COSIRI and why it’s so important in industry
- Understand and describe the COSIRI Framework, including the 4 building blocks, 9 pillars, and 24 dimensions, assessment matrix as a diagnostic too, and the prioritisation matrix
- Learn how to conduct a COSIRI Assessment
- Develop a sustainability transformation roadmap for the organisation based on the assessment
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion jointly issued by Singapore Management University and Institute of Management Consultants Singapore.

SkillsFuture Credit
Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
