From the pre-trip classes to the day-to-day schedule, it was evident that meticulous planning and attention to detail went into crafting this study trip. The combination of cultural immersion, company visits, and networking opportunities offered a holistic understanding of the business landscape in the UAE. It surpassed my expectations and proved to be an unparalleled exposure, differentiating it from a typical business leisure trip. I had been to Dubai before for work, but it wasn't until this trip with SMU Academy that I saw the true business potential of the UAE.

The company visits were a highlight, allowing us to gain insights directly, where the opportunity to witness firsthand the innovation and dynamism of the businesses in Abu Dhabi and Dubai was both inspiring and eye-opening. The trainer's proactiveness in facilitating engagements with the host companies and casual briefings/debriefings among participants made it a lively and interactive experience overall.

What sets this study trip apart is the practical blend of information rigour and relevant application for those genuinely exploring to set up businesses in the UAE. The depth and breadth of the programme showcased the commitment of the SMU Academy to delivering a unique value-added experience for working professionals as well as small business owners like myself who signed up to explore my entrepreneurial endeavors outside of Singapore.
