Overview
As sustainability regulations evolve - driven by frameworks like the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) S2, professionals should be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to harness the power of Gen AI for sustainability reporting.
This hands-on course explores how Gen AI can transform the way to automate data collection, enhance narrative reporting, and ensure the ethical use of AI in sustainability initiatives. Through real-world case studies, hands-on workshops, and guided exercises, participants will gain practical skills to integrate AI into sustainability reporting workflows, improving data accuracy, streamlining processes, and strengthening stakeholder communication.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the programme, participants will learn how to:
- Understand the role of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) in sustainability reporting
- Develop skills to automate and enhance the accuracy of sustainability reports
- Learn to integrate AI-driven insights into sustainability strategies
- Be able to assess and mitigate ethical and environmental risks associated with AI in reporting
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
