Module 1: Introduction to UI/UX Fundamentals

This module provides an overview of UI/UX design and the responsibilities associated with being a UI/UX designer. Participants will acquire a strong foundation in UI/UX design principles, mastering the essentials of creating user-centred digital experiences, such as through conducting user research and creating personas. It will also cover basic concepts in information architecture and wireframing.

Module 2: Design Principles and User Testing

Building on the foundational knowledge introduced in the first module, the second module will delve into visual design principles, interaction design, and prototyping. Participants will be tasked with applying these principles through hands-on projects. Furthermore, participants will also learn the importance of usability and conducting user testing with the prototypes they design.

Participants will acquire the skills to create designs that transcend across various platforms, devices, and contexts, adapting designs for responsiveness and accessibility, and taking into account the impact of how microinteractions and animations can shape the user’s experience of a product.

Module 4: Collaboration and the Final Capstone

In this concluding module, participants will learn how designers are able to collaborate effectively with other members of a product team, particularly product managers and software developers. They will embark on a capstone project, applying the skills acquired across all four modules to design, , prototype and test a complete UI/UX solution for a specific problem.
