Who Should Attend
This course will be useful for those working on, or interested in, the following
- Driving digital transformation of their organisation, function, or project
- Building personal skillsets and capabilities in digital process automation
- Exploring the potential of low code solutions for new operational efficiency or effectiveness
This course does not have a sector or functional focus, but members of teams responsible for Middle and Back Office processes and operations in service-based organisations, commercial or government, should find the content covered particularly valuable.
PREREQUISITES
This course has been designed to be an introduction to automation with Microsoft Power Platform. As such, no prior technology skills are expected. However, familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 tools would be beneficial (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).
Overview
The Fourth Industrial Revolution has begun, spurring a wave of digital transformation that has spread across industries, sectors, and the wider economy. For many working in service-based organisations and “white collar” operations, this trend has led to a focus on the automation of business processes, with new digital technologies such as Robotic Process Automation and Intelligent Assistants increasingly taking root. The resulting impact on work in commercial and government sectors can be radical and disruptive.
In this context, this course will build practical skills in the design and use of the Microsoft Power Platform – an integrated set of low code tools that enable fast development of process automations at the workplace.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 2-day course, participants will be able to:
- Apply an Automation Design Framework
- Create Process Flow Automations using Microsoft Power Automate
- Create Automated Business Apps using Microsoft Power Apps
- Apply an Automation Governance Framework
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.
