About the Speaker

Xiaowei Liu

Xiaowei is Director for Special Projects, Asia at the World Energy Council with the responsibility to strengthen the Council's visibility and commercial opportunities across Asia.

Prior to this, Xiaowei worked for Shell. In her 26+ years with the energy company, she led External Relations teams of various sizes at country, regional and global business level and held various elective roles across China, UK, NL and most recently in Singapore as the Regional Vice President for External Relations, Asia Pacific.

Professionally, Xiaowei has deep expertise, insights and experiences in stakeholder engagement, sustainability, advocacy, social performance, risk/issue/crisis management and media relations, and has led projects and campaigns that won global awards and recognitions.

Currently, Xiaowei is a Board Member of the Marketing Society Singapore, also serves on the Advisory Board of GGEF, a social enterprise promoting sustainability.
