Overview

Participants will be equipped with foundational knowledge and competencies to perform trades and take positions in various products in accordance with trading plans.

Learning Objectives

The objectives of this course focus on the knowledge and abilities to perform trades in accordance to trading strategies and plans. On successful completion of the course, students should be able to:

  • Acquire knowledge under Level 3 of the Trading Management TSC 
  • Demonstrate the abilities under Level 3 of the Trading Management TSC

Assessment

At the end of the course, participants will be assessed on their competencies acquired through the learnings via a quiz.

Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

IBF - STS Funding (For courses commencing from 1 Jan 2023 onwards)

Standards Training Scheme

IBF-STS Funding of 50% is available to eligible institutions and qualified individuals, subject to meeting the attendance requirement and passing of assessment. The IBF-STS funding is subject to a cap of S$3,000 per participant per programme. 

Singapore Citizens aged 40 years old and above will be eligible for 70% co-funding of direct training costs.

The IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS) provides funding for training and assessment programmes accredited under the Skills Framework for Financial Services. It is applicable for both Company-Sponsored and Non Company-Sponsored individuals.

At Bank of Singapore (BOS), she served as Managing Director, leading the Trading Advisory and Product Development (TAPD) Group. Her role included offering investment advice, product ideas, and trade execution, as well as heading the Structured Product Team for 13 years. Evanz transitioned to spearhead TAPD product sales, collaborating with Relationship Managers to advise High Networth (HNW) clients. With expertise in various asset classes, she collaborated with major banks to tailor investment solutions.

Faith brings over 20 years of finance industry expertise, primarily in private banking for 16 years. At Bank of Singapore, she served as an Executive Director, overseeing the entire product lifecycle and collaborating with various stakeholders. Prior to this, Faith held senior positions at ING Private Bank and DBS Private Bank, specialising in Asian Equities advisory. Her career journey began in forex and futures trading, later transitioning to equity analysis at Phillip Capital. Faith holds a Bachelor's in Business (Banking & Finance) from Monash University, Australia, and has completed the Advanced Wealth Management Programme at the Wealth Management Institute, Singapore, as well as the Value Investing course at Columbia University, USA. She is also a CFA charter holder.

  • Trading Management Proficiency Level 3

Participants are encouraged to access the IBF MySkills Portfolio to track their training progress and skills acquisition against the Skills Framework for Financial Services. You can apply for IBF Certification after fulfilling the required number of Technical Skills and Competencies (TSCs) for the selected job role.
