PREREQUISITES
Recommended: Familiarity with agentic AI Concepts (covered in Module 1).
Overview
This programme focuses on helping participants translate business problems into agent missions with measurable outcomes. Participants will explore workflow design, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and tool integration, while balancing privacy, cost, and security. They will also engage in blueprinting, prototyping, and testing agent solutions, gaining the confidence to scope and design agentic AI projects that deliver tangible results.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 2-day module, participants will be able to:
- Explain a structured process for designing simple yet effective agentic artificial intelligence (AI) solutions suitable for non-technical users
- Identify user requirements and define clear, achievable goals for agentic AI systems in various business scenarios, with the goal of translating business problems into agent missions with clear success criteria
- Conceptualise and map basic workflows for agentic AI integration within existing business operations, map end-to-end workflows, identifying triggers, decision points, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints
- Select appropriate agentic AI frameworks and platforms for specific practical use-cases, select tools, application programming interfaces (APIs), and data integrations based on privacy, security, and cost considerations
- Demonstrate the creation of a simple, user-friendly AI agent tailored for solving everyday business tasks, prototype agent workflows with fallback mechanisms and error handling
- Evaluate the effectiveness and practicality of designed agentic AI solutions through structured user feedback, develop iterative improvement strategies for enhancing agent performance and user experience
- Discuss emerging trends in agent marketplaces and adaptive agent design
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by SMU Academy.

SkillsFuture Credit
Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.
This is only applicable to self-sponsored participants. Application to utilise SkillsFuture Credits can be submitted when making payment for the course via the SMU Academy TMS Portal, and can only be made within 60 days of course start date.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
