Who Should Attend

Participants should have at least 2 years of working experience with interest in agile business practices and management.

Overview

Coaching Agile Transformations (CAT) is an advanced form of Agile Coaching that works at an enterprise scale. It builds upon the discipline of team coaching and facilitation (Module 4) and draws upon the disciplines of management consulting and Organizational Development (OD). Given its very diverse scope, CAT is not a role per se, but rather a set of skills and competencies that an individual can obtain and leverage in guiding organizations to become more Agile.

This 2-day module aims to equip learners with broad awareness of business, technical and transformational agility that includes working with organizational structures and culture, developing leaders, building a strong team culture, growing technical practices, and increasing business agility.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the 2-day module, participants will be able to:

  • Co-create an organisational change strategy;
  • Bring the Agile mindset to change that incorporates inspect-and-adapt, creation through collaboration and the belief that change is a continuous process rather than an event;
  • Understand, identify and address organisational impediments to agile practices;
  • Communicate, educate and facilitate organisation change;
  • Attain the ICAgile Certified Professional in Coaching Agile Transformations (ICP-CAT) certification upon passing the required assessment(s).

Assessment

Participants have to meet a minimum attendance rate of 75% and have to complete all assessment(s) required by the course. Only upon meeting the minimum attendance and passing the assessment will participants be issued a Certificate of Completion.

Participants who fail the assessment will be given a chance for re-assessment at a fee of SGD100.00 (excluding prevailing GST). Each participant is allowed 1 re-assessment. The re-assessment has to be taken within 7 calendar days from the end of the course date. It will be held on a weekday specified by SMU Academy and conducted during office hours. Please note that re-assessment fees are not supported by SSG Funding.

Participants who meet the minimum attendance rate but do not achieve a pass for the assessment will be issued a Certificate of Participation.

Participants are required to bring their laptop to access the course materials, class exercises and individual assessment(s).

In order to be awarded with Advanced Certificate in Agile Business Practices and Management, participants are required to complete all 5 modules within 2 years.

He has worked in diverse sectors including Singapore Civil Service, Multinational Corporations, Banking & Finance, and high-growth tech Start-Ups, including home-grown unicorns. Representing SHRM as Master Facilitator in Southeast Asia, he offers expertise to SMEs and MNCs on operational and strategic HR matters. He also facilitates learning workshops and serves as adjunct faculty at several universities.
