Overview

In this module, participants will be equipped with an understanding of the rise and impact of short-form videos such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Shorts. Delve into insights on current trends and audience behaviours in consuming short videos, gaining valuable knowledge for engaging audience effectively.

The module will also focus on scriptwriting techniques and storytelling tailored for short-form content, teaching participants how to harness the skill for crafting compelling narratives. Participants will also learn how to analyse metrics and engagements, thereby providing them with the knowledge to refine their strategies for maximum impact for their short-form video content. 

 

Learning Objectives

At the end of the 2-day module, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the rise and impact of short-form videos (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels, Shorts)
  • Gain insights on trends and audience behaviours in consuming short videos
  • Learn scriptwriting techniques and storytelling for short-form content
  • Learn the basics of shooting and editing for short-form videos and optimising contents for different platforms
  • Understand platform algorithms and trends and learn to analyse metrics and engagements

Assessment

As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.

Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.
