3.5 hours: Synchronous e-Learning (Weekday, 9am-12.30pm)
3.5 hours: Asynchronous e-Learning
7 hours: Classroom Training (Weekday, 9am-5pm)
Who Should Attend
This programme is aimed at educators and organisational leaders who are keen to understand and leverage Edtech to innovate from within the institutions and learning organisations. The programme is specifically designed for those who seek to integrate new technologies and tools into the learning process.
PREREQUISITES
Participants should preferably be an educator or leader of a school, university, learning teams/ organisation, or Edtech startups.
Overview
In Module 2, participants will explore the different verticals Edtech for the future of education. This taxonomy serves as a guide to understand and navigate the diverse landscape of Edtech, making it easier to identify, evaluate, and implement the most suitable solutions for specific learning needs. Participants will gain an overview of the Edtech ecosystem and emerging trends to help them stay informed of the the latest advancements in the field. By organising Edtech tools into a taxonomy, participants can make informed decisions about integrating technology into their teaching practices and leverage its potential to enhance learners engagement, collaboration, and achievement.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 2-day module, participants will be able to:
- Understand the different verticals of Edtech innovation
- Learn about how Edtech innovations have been applied
- Understand the Edtech ecosystem and how it is redefining education
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

SkillsFuture Credit
Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.
This is only applicable to self-sponsored participants. Application to utilise SkillsFuture Credits can be submitted when making payment for the course via the SMU Academy TMS Portal, and can only be made within 60 days of course start date.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
