Who Should Attend
This certificate is designed for entry level employees in supply chain management. It is also helpful for executives who are new to supply chains or a specific domain, people re-entering the job market and experienced employees looking to work with commercial opportunities.
PREREQUISITES
There are no prerequisites for this programme. Prior knowledge on any of the topics is not required.
Overview
This module will do a deep dive into the topic of Supply Chain Planning. Planning is an essential element in today’s complex and high variability supply chains. Global leaders such as, Apple, Walmart, P&G, and Toyota understand this, and are able to bring their entire organizations into an integrated planning and execution mode. This module will provide a very good overview of the key supply chain planning processes such as Demand Planning, Aggregate Planning, Master Scheduling, Materials Planning, Capacity Planning and Inventory Planning.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 3-day module, participants will be able to:
- Understand the importance of Effective Supply Chain Planning in today's complex supply chains
- Understand supply network design considerations and models
- Understand various Demand Planning Techniques and Models; understanding factors causing demand variability and how to measure forecast accuracy
- Understand how to plan supply across at an aggregate level across a multi-tiered supply chain
- Understand key concepts of some of the detailed supply planning techniques such as Master Scheduling, Materials and Capacity Planning and Inventory Planning
- Overview of the leading supply chain planning software being used in today's digital supply chains
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by SMU Academy.

SkillsFuture Credit
Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.
This is only applicable to self-sponsored participants. Application to utilise SkillsFuture Credits can be submitted when making payment for the course via the SMU Academy TMS Portal, and can only be made within 60 days of course start date.

Employer Sponsored
Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
