Overview
Most efforts to improve supply-chain performance should therefore involve changes to the ways that employees and teams share information, consider problems and opportunities, reach decisions, and carry out actions they agree on. This certificate programme is an operations-oriented programme that covers the basics of supply chain and logistics management and is designed to bring a participant through a series of logistics and supply chain operating environment within an organisation. The various modules covered in this programme include freight, transportation, logistics and international trade operations.
Topic/Structure
To achieve the Advanced Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, participants will need to complete the following modules offered by SMU Academy:
Module 1: Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management
Module 2: Planning the Supply Chain - Network Design and Demand and Supply Planning
Module 3: Order Fulfilment and Transportation Management
Module 4: Emerging themes in Supply Chain - Sustainability, Resilience, Digitalisation
Module 5: Warehousing Management and Managing Distribution Networks
Module 6: Trade Regulations, Facilitation and Compliance Management
This course is also part of the Advanced Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Transformation.
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of every module. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment for each of the 6 modules within 3 years in order to be awarded the digital Advanced Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management issued by Singapore Management University.

SkillsFuture Credit
Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.
This is only applicable to self-sponsored participants. Application to utilise SkillsFuture Credits can be submitted when making payment for the course via the SMU Academy TMS Portal, and can only be made within 60 days of course start date.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
