Overview
The Advanced Certificate in Service Strategy & Management is a modular programme that is designed for customer-oriented professionals and managers to further amplify the pursuit of service excellence through strategic mastery in data analytics, communications, behavioural science, brand experience and the digital landscape.
Our modules focus on training customer-oriented professionals to make positive impacts at work and achieve peak results. Embarking on this comprehensive journey will allow participants to address pertinent issues and challenges and ultimately make viable business decisions while putting the customers at the centre.
Topic/Structure
To achieve the Advanced Certificate in Service Strategy & Management, participants will need to complete 6 of the following modules offered by SMU Academy:
- Advanced Data Analytics: Making Better Customer Decisions Using Analytics
- Applying Smart Tech in a Smart Way: The Right Approach to Digital Transformation
- Customer Loyalty: Gaining Insights from Consumer Psychology and Behavioural Science
- Empathy at Work: Building an Empathic Organisational Culture (for Service Sector)
- Service Management: Strategies for Negotiation and Communication
- Strategic Communications - Crisis Management in Service Delivery
*The modules need not be taken in sequential order and can be taken in separate cohorts.
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of every module. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
CERTIFICATION
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment for each of the 6 modules within 3 years in order to be awarded the digital Advanced Certificate in Service Strategy & Management issued by Singapore Management University.

SkillsFuture Credit
Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.
This is only applicable to self-sponsored participants. Application to utilise SkillsFuture Credits can be submitted when making payment for the course via the SMU Academy TMS Portal, and can only be made within 60 days of course start date.

Company Sponsored
Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
