Who Should Attend

PREREQUISITES
Module 1 - There are no prerequisites for this module. This can be taken as a standalone module.
Module 2 - Participants must have attended Module 1.
Module 3 - Participants should have attended Module 1 and Module 2; or can be taken as a standalone module if they are experienced users of Tableau.
Module 4 - Participants must have attended Modules 1 to 3 of the programme.
Module 5 - Participants must have attended Modules 1 to 4 of the programme.
Overview
In an increasingly knowledge-driven economy, it is critical that the modern knowledge worker has the necessary skills to analyse, interpret and communicate with data. And all this using the latest analytic tools. To this end, Visual Analysis has become a foundational competency required for the modern knowledge worker. Visual Analysis goes beyond the mechanical ability to leverage visual analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI and QlikSense.
This certificate programme provides participants with the skills and confidence to navigate the data-enriched world through the skill of Visual Analytics, using Tableau – considered the ‘gold standard’ in visual analytic tools.
Topic/Structure
To achieve the Advanced Certificate in Visual Analytics Using Tableau, participants will need to complete the following modules offered by SMU Academy:
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of every module. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment for each of the 5 modules within 3 years in order to be awarded the digital Advanced Certificate in Visual Analytics Using Tableau issued by Singapore Management University.

SkillsFuture Credit
Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
