PREREQUISITES
Participants should preferably have basic experience in SQL and Python programming.
Overview
The course will offer participants a refresher on Python and analytical tools, and the basics concepts of blockchain data. It will also go through 3 different use cases where participants will utilise different analytics techniques to analyse swaps and liquidity on Automated Market Makers (AMMs), detect wash trading on Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) marketplaces, and analyse revenues and trends on Play-to-Earn (P2E) games. Through a combination on theory and practical application, participants will develop the necessary skills to analyse blockchain data on their own.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 3-day course, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of blockchain technology and how it works
- Understand the basics of Python programming language and apply it to blockchain analytics
- Utilise various analytics libraries on Python to extract, transform and analyse blockchain data
- Describe descriptive analytics and how it can be applied to different types of blockchain data, including transaction data, account data and state data
- Use JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Application Programming Interface (API) to extract and analyse blockchain data
- Analyse swaps and liquidity on AMMs, detect wash trading on NFT marketplaces and analyse revenues and trends on P2E games using blockchain analytics techniques
- Utilise third-party tools such as SQL and visualisation using Dune Analytics, querying data using The Graph protocol and creating dashboards and projects using Flipside to enhance their blockchain analytics capabilities
- Apply the learned techniques to real-world use cases in blockchain analytics
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

SkillsFuture Credit

- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
