Overview
Founded by OpenAI in 2015, this language model is capable of processing large amounts of text and learning to perform natural language processing tasks effectively. This chat research tool crossed 1 million users in just 5 days after its launch. Many tech executives and venture capitalists have even compared it to Apple’s debut of the iPhone in 2007.
ChatGPT surpasses language barriers and can be utilised in various industries, such as improving customer service, generating attractive posts on social media, solving errors in code and many more. In this course, participants will learn the fundamentals of ChatGPT, examine its benefits and learn to employ its technology in businesses.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 1-day course, participants will be able to:
- Define Generative AI and learn the fundamentals of Generative AI
- Explore the applications of Generative AI/ ChatGPT in businesses
- Learn the Advanced ChatGPT techniques (conversational Artificial Intelligence, chatbots, customisation for specific tasks) and analyze the best practices of using ChatGPT
- Understand the ethical considerations of using Generative AI
- Discover the strategies for effective prompt engineering
- Acquire the lessons learnt from the challenges of using Generative AI/ ChatGPT with real-world case studies and examples
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
