PREREQUISITES
- A Diploma with at least 3 years of working experience
- Basic knowledge in accounting and economics concepts
Overview
Participants will be introduced to two of the largest securities and capital markets in the world – equities and fixed income. This module will cover yield-and-risk measures, fundamental analysis, and equip participants with analytical tools and frameworks to perform valuation appraisals.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the fundamental micro and macro economic factors impacting equity market securities
- Understand the methodology and principles of using financial accounting metrics and indicators to assess the economic viability of an equity asset
- Learn how to perform basic cash flow modelling and fundamental valuation analysis applicable to mainstream valuation models for both fixed income and equity securities
- Understand the similarities and differences between equity and fixed income securities
- Gain an overview of the fixed income market, covering basic bond terminology, fundamentals, yield calculations and the specifics of corporate, government and municipal bonds
Topic/Structure
- Introduction to two of the largest securities and capital markets - equities and fixed income
- Understand the Working Capital Cycle (WCC)
- Learn various analytical tools and frameworks like valuation models to perform valuation appraisals
- Application of basic financial analysis
- Understand fundamental financial factor
Assessment
An assessment will be conducted at the end of each module.

Upon meeting the attendance and assessment criteria, participants will be awarded a digital certificate for participating in each module. Please refer to our course policies to view the attendance and assessment criteria.
Upon completion of all modules required for this programme within a maximum duration of 3 years, participants will be awarded a digital certificate.
