Overview

Value investing is an ideal way to take advantage of the power of compounding. In essence, your earnings will eventually begin to generate earnings of their own. One of the biggest advantages of value investing is that it has less risk and volatility than most short-term investment strategies. Learn to master the principle of value investing - “Buy Low, Sell High” and avoid potential timing mistakes.

  • Understand the economic factors impacting the market
  • Understand the terminologies, theories and strategies in value investing
  • Learn how to perform valuation analysis
  • Learn how to optimise and risk manage an investment portfolio
  • Identify new optimal investment ideas and alternative investments
  • Understand the 4-practicable steps of Real Estate (Business) Investment
  • Review how behavioural bias can impact investment decisions

Assessment

An assessment will be conducted at the end of each module.
 

CERTIFICATION

Upon completion of all 6 modules within a maximum duration of 3 years, participants will be awarded a digital Certificate in Value Investing.

  • Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
  • Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
  • Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
  • Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman

He earned the 2017 Stanley Fuchs Award and the Gladys and Henry Crown Award for Faculty Excellence. With 30+ years in finance, he held leadership roles at Capital Position and AIG SunAmerica. He served 17 years at the Monetary Authority of Singapore, leading the U.S. Bond Division. Michael teaches Global Financial Markets at Peking University and previously taught at New York University, where he was a senior adviser until 2016.

He was honoured as the Real Estate Executive of the Year 2016 by Singapore Business Review, and as one of 20 Rising Stars in Real Estate 2008 by Institutional Investor. He holds a Global EMBA from INSEAD and a BBA (Hons) from NUS.
