PREREQUISITE

There are no prerequisites for this programme. As this programme is conducted in English, participants should be proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Overview

The digital economy has fundamentally reshaped how people work, communicate, and experience stress - creating new emotional demands that managers must be equipped to recognise, understand, and address.

This programme equips the participants to develop emotional intelligence for managing diverse teams across technology-mediated, hybrid, and virtual work environments. Participants apply person-centred engagement and emotional support capabilities to recognise the psychosocial impact of digital work on team members, sustain psychological safety across technology-enabled interactions, and maintain professional effectiveness in digitally accelerated contexts. Participants will utilise digital Emotional Intelligence (EI) diagnostic tools (e.g., pulse survey platforms, sentiment analysis dashboards, and digital feedback tools) to assess team emotional states and engagement levels.

They will interpret technology-generated emotional and engagement data outputs to design targeted interventions that improve psychological safety and team cohesion in digitally mediated environments. Emphasis is placed on strengthening human connection, client relationships, and team cohesion in environments shaped by digital transformation and evolving technology-driven demands.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the 3-day course, participants will be able to:

  • Analyse how digital economy conditions, i.e. technology-mediated workflows, hybrid work structures, and digital transformation pressures reshape emotional demands on leaders and their teams across diverse organisational contexts
  • Apply Emotional Intelligence (EI) principles to person-centred engagement across digital, hybrid, and virtual work environments - recognising emotional cues, psychological states, and wellbeing signals within technology-mediated interactions and remote collaboration settings
  • Apply digital EI assessment tools (e.g., digital employee sentiment tools, pulse survey platforms, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled feedback analytics) to generate structured diagnostic outputs (e.g., emotional climate reports and engagement dashboards), and identify personal and team-level emotional intelligence capability gaps affecting leadership effectiveness, team cohesion, and professional relationship quality in technology-intensive work settings
  • Apply emotional regulation strategies to sustain professional composure, service quality, and decision clarity under the pressures of digitally accelerated, high-demand work environments
  • Demonstrate empathetic, culturally sensitive communication and emotional support capabilities to strengthen client relationships, team trust, and psychological safety across diverse digital, hybrid, and in-person professional contexts
  • Promote psychologically safe, emotionally healthy team cultures that enable consistent high performance and resilient human connection across digital, hybrid, and co-located work arrangements

Assessment

As part of the requirement for Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA), there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion.
