Overview
The Advanced Certificate in Driving Versatile Excellence empowers professionals and managers to become agile, future-ready leaders capable of thriving in complex, Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled business environments. The programme develops the essential leadership competencies required to navigate digital transformation, build resilient teams, make informed decisions, and foster meaningful stakeholder relationships in an increasingly dynamic workplace.
Through an integrated curriculum covering adaptive leadership, strategic decision-making, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution, participants will gain practical tools to enhance their leadership effectiveness and inspire high performance across diverse teams and environments. Emphasis is placed on developing the human capabilities that technology cannot replace, enabling leaders to create trust, strengthen engagement, and sustain organisational success amid constant change.
Participants will be equipped to lead with confidence, influence with purpose, and adapt with agility, positioning themselves and their organisations for long-term success in the future economy.
The Advanced Certificate in Driving Versatile Excellence is a collaboration between SMU Academy and Universal Stage (UStage), a consultancy-based training company, to equip leaders with the versatile capabilities to lead their people and enterprises in a digitalisation-enabled future.

At the end of the 12-day course, participants will be able to:

Topic/Structure
To achieve the Advanced Certificate in Driving Versatile Excellence, participants will need to complete the following modules offered by SMU Academy:
- Multiplying Success - The Versatile Leadership Accelerator
- Thinking Dynamically for Strategic Decision-Making
- Cultivating Emotional Intelligence Across Evolving Contexts
- Navigating Conflicts for Tomorrow’s Challenges
The modules need not be taken in sequential order and can be taken in separate cohorts.
Assessment
As part of the requirement for Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA), there will be an assessment conducted at the end of every module. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment for each of the 6 modules within 2 years in order to be awarded the digital Advanced Certificate in Driving Versatile Excellence issued by SMU Academy.

SkillsFuture Credit
Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.
This is only applicable to self-sponsored participants. Application to utilise SkillsFuture Credits can be submitted when making payment for the course via the SMU Academy TMS Portal, and can only be made within 60 days of course start date.

Employer Sponsored
Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
