Overview

In an era where businesses are constantly seeking innovative solutions to stay ahead, Generative AI (GenAI) emerges as a game-changing technology that is poised to reshape our world.

This intensive one-day course, led by a serial tech entrepreneur and AI practitioner, is designed to guide you through the practical applications of advanced AI technologies beyond chatbots. Discover how to leverage Large Language Models (LLMs), Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs), and AI agents to automate business processes and drive product and service innovation.

From comparing proposals, checking for compliance, and extracting structured data from diverse unstructured sources, to enabling product and design prototyping and generating multimedia content for marketing or training purposes — join this programme to step into the future of business, where AI empowers innovation and efficiency.

 

Learning Objectives

At the end of this 1-day course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the capabilities of GenAI: Gain a clear understanding of how GenAI technologies, including LLMs and MLLMs, can transform business operations and product development
  • Innovate with AI: Explore real-world examples and case studies demonstrating how to integrate AI into business operations to develop novel solutions and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Accelerate Product Innovation: Discover how AI can support rapid product and design prototyping, helping to reduce time-to-market
  • Create Engaging Content: Learn how AI can assist in producing compelling marketing and training materials
  • Explore Agentic Workflows: Understand the role of AI agents in automating decision-making and streamlining workflows

Assessment

As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of every module. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.

Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

  • Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
  • Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
  • Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
  • Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman

Sze Chin (SQ) is a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of ESSE PI, an AI start-up with a mission to make AI accessible for the for the public sector and large commercial sectors. They build and operate AI solutions and have trained over 3,500 individuals, including 2,500 public servants, through regular workshops. Previously, SQ co-founded and led IVS as CEO, securing over US$8 million in from renowned venture capital firms and expanding into five Asian markets, reaching 100 million users.

SQ began his entrepreneurial journey after spending more than 11 years in the public sector, including a role as Consul (Infocomm) at the Singapore Consulate-General in Shanghai, as well as Centre Director (China) for the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA). A Singapore Government Scholarship recipient, SQ holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford (specialising in neural networks) and received the National Day Award – Commendation Medal in 2011.

Drawing on a diverse career in technology and communications, he combines industry insight with hands-on expertise to deliver engaging and impactful training sessions. Bolei is a seasoned technologist and serial entrepreneur with over 21 years of experience in technology and media. He founded two technology-related start-ups in China and, since 2018, has worked as an independent consultant for companies in Singapore and China.  Currently a consultant and trainer, he also served as an international trainer for CCTV.com, conducting 14 training sessions for its International Communication Department. 

From 2013 to 2018, Bolei was China President of 8sian Media Network , growing it into the largest overseas Chinese-targeted Multi-Channel Network (MCN) outside of China. Under his leadership, the company collaborated with major Chinese TV broadcasters, including SMG, Hunan TV, Zhejiang TV, and CCTV, as well as international platforms such as YouTube and Dailymotion. Previously,​ he was CEO of a Shanghai-based online game development company specialising in branded IPs, including titles based on Jackie Chan’s films. Bolei holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Computer Engineering degree from the University of Michigan.
