Who Should Attend

All experienced professionals who are involved with or have an interest in providing better healthcare services through enhanced knowledge and implementation of Digital Health initiatives.

 

Pre-requisites

Participants should have:

  • a degree from a recognised university; and
  • minimum 2 years working experience in healthcare or healthcare related sector

Overview

This module extents the development of healthcare analytical expertise into an advanced level (awarded Certified Healthcare Analytical Professional) enabling the participant to better address higher and wider level of healthcare stakeholder needs.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this module, participants will be able to:

  • undertake various types of analyses for describing what is happening, predicting what would happen with different strategies and prescribing the next course of actions. (Note: Participants are expected to achieve and will be assessed for competency in a wide range of analytical methods)
  • generate insights across functional areas such as patient care and experience and human capital management practices (such as qualities of healthcare professionals that are most suited for various patient groups/right persons to right jobs etc). (Note: Various analytical software will be used) 
  • present insights to healthcare stakeholders effectively.

Assessment

Participants have to meet a minimum attendance rate of 75% and have to complete all assessment(s) required by the course. Only upon meeting the minimum attendance and passing the assessment will participants be issued a Certificate of Completion.

Participants who fail the assessment will be given a chance for re-assessment at a fee of SGD100.00 (excluding prevailing GST). Each participant is allowed 1 re-assessment. The re-assessment has to be taken within 7 calendar days from the end of the course date.  It will be held on a weekday specified by SMU Academy and conducted during office hours. Please note that re-assessment fees are not supported by SSG Funding.

Participants who meet the minimum attendance rate but do not achieve a pass for the assessment will be issued a Certificate of Participation.

SMU will provide laptops pre-loaded with analytics software to all course participants.

In order to be awarded with the Graduate Certificate in Digital Health, participants are required to complete modules 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6 within 3 years. To obtain the Certified Healthcare Analytical Professional, participants are required to complete modules 2 and 3 within 3 years.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)

  • Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
  • Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
  • Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
  • Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
