- a Bachelor's Degree or
- Diploma with at least 3 years working experience
Overview
Everybody in an organisation has a role to play in managing such risks. Especially for accounting and finance professionals where they are dealing with sensitive financial data, it is even more critical to understand and manage IT risks, threats and vulnerabilities, to prevent financial losses, safeguard business continuity and reputation. Benchmarked to industry standards and best practices, this module on IT risk, governance and security provides the fundamental framework to identify risks and implement controls against potential security concerns.
Learning Objectives
- Align governance, risk and compliance (GRC) in the context of the organisation
- Know the applicable regulations underpinning GRC requirements
- Identify the different types of financial risks arising from the connectivity with the global digital economy of e-business, e-commerce and e-government
- Implement effective, efficient and agile GRC processes
- Understand technology’s role in GRC
- Develop ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement of GRC activities through metrics and measurement
Participants will be able to earn 14 CPD Points awarded by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants when they attend this module.
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
