Overview

In collaboration with Talent Plus, SMU Academy has developed the CLIMB Programme for SMEs' leadership. The programme is designed to groom emerging leaders with an integrated view of management fundamentals to lead and manage effectively for digital transformations, change management, sustainable growth and profitability.

There are a total of 6 modules in the programme.

The Innovate module is the fourth module in the series. 

The Innovate module focuses on helping you to identify your business model, create disruptive strategies and innovative approaches to drive growth. Through case studies and self-evaluation, you will learn how to develop the right products that meet the customer’s expectations and market fit. The outcome of this module will help you to evaluate your products using market-relevant scales and innovate with disruptive strategies on products based on informed decision-making.

SkillsFuture Credit

Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)

  • Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
  • Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
  • Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
  • Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
  • Trainees are eligible for ETSS funding only if their company's SME status is approved prior to the course commencement date. To verify your SME's status, please click here.

With over a decade of experience in public and private sectors, he's passionate about entrepreneurship, education, and innovation. Alex has invested in 30+ startups, aiding in their expansion and fundraising efforts. Previously, he served as VP of a fintech company acquired by Wirecard, overseeing regional business development. Before that, he led enterprise technology at Enterprise Singapore, receiving the MTI Borderless Award in 2010. Starting his first business in 2002, Alex transitioned from engineering to venture capital, deepening his commitment to startup growth. He holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, a Master's in Technopreneurship & Innovation, and completed the Middle East Executive Management Programme at the University of Dubai. Alex is Vice-Chairman of SGTECG's Singapore Enterprise Chapter and Vice-President at Enterprise Singapore Society.
