How do middle managers drive and support their organizations’ strategy implementation? Discover the answers in this highly interactive and engaging two-day course: Strategic Implementation Toolkit: An Essential Guide for Middle Managers

The role of middle managers in strategy implementation is becoming increasingly critical. As organizations undergo transformation at an accelerated pace, middle managers must be equipped with the right skills and knowledge to support successful implementation.
 

Only one in three strategy implementations is successful.


This course draws from best practices of those who succeed—and highlights the key mistakes others make. It explores in depth the pivotal role middle managers play in turning strategy into results. Participants will gain practical techniques and easy-to-adopt tools to lead their teams toward successful implementation.


Participants examine their position as the “sandwich layer” between senior leaders and frontline employees. The course also addresses the challenges of implementing strategy in the digital world and shows how middle managers can leverage AI, Agentic AI, and other emerging tools to enhance the implementation.


It features an implementation framework, canvases, tools, templates, business simulations, and checklists to help middle managers kick-start their implementation journey effectively.

Assessment

Participants have to meet a minimum attendance rate of 75% and have to complete all assessment(s) required by the course. Only upon meeting the minimum attendance and passing the assessment will participants be issued a Certificate of Completion.

Participants who fail the assessment will be given a chance for re-assessment at a fee of SGD100.00 (excluding prevailing GST). Each participant is allowed 1 re-assessment. The re-assessment has to be taken within 7 calendar days from the end of the course date.  It will be held on a weekday specified by SMU Academy and conducted during office hours. Please note that re-assessment fees are not supported by SSG Funding.

Participants who meet the minimum attendance rate but do not achieve a pass for the assessment will be issued a Certificate of Participation.

Participants are required to bring their laptop to access the course materials, class exercises and individual assessment(s).

  • Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
