There are no prerequisites for this programme. Prior knowledge on any of the topics is not required.
Overview
In order to ensure strength in sustainability, sharpness in competitive edge and speed in leveraging growth opportunities, it is imperative for organisations to formulate a strategy that is focused on the critical success factors of their business, alongside organisation-wide alignment and cohesive management.
In this course, participants will acquire both the knowledge and skills to identify their unique key success factors, learn how to formulate competitive strategies that drive exponential value creation while mitigating threats, develop performance-based action plans that aim to maximise returns, and learn how to build a foundation of strong leadership and teamwork alignment.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 3-day course, participants will be able to:
- Identify the critical success factors that are unique and specific to any business by using prescribed frameworks and methodologies
- Develop a plan to gather and analyse data and information that is critical to the strategy development process from knowing the required key elements and applicable methodologies
- Formulate a strategy that enables a business to drive exponential success by developing its unique proposition and a sharp competitive edge
- Develop a customer-focused and performance-based action plan that delivers outstanding financial performance through a strategic, coordinated and collaborated organisational approach
- Leverage opportunities that drive optimal and successful business growth from incisive insights as well as being able to navigate and mitigate threats and risks
- Build cohesive and collaborative leadership and teams that generate greater outcomes for the business through insights on cross-functional challenges and the value of mutual support and alignment
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
