There are no prerequisites for this programme. As this programme is conducted in English, participants should be proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
Overview
This programme builds competency in applying AI-enabled talent assessment tools to identify high-potential succession candidates, designing digitally future-ready development pathways, and implementing succession plans that account for technology-driven role evolution and emerging digital skill demands.
Participants will work with simulated or sample workforce datasets and AI-enabled talent tools to practise digital skills mapping and succession analytics in a controlled learning environment. Participants apply digital talent advisory competencies to align Human Resource (HR) programmes with digital transformation objectives, and leverage technology platforms to accelerate succession candidate development at scale.
This programme is a collaboration between SMU Academy and Universal Stage (UStage), a consultancy-based training company, to equip leaders with the versatile capabilities to lead their people and enterprises in a digitalisation-enabled future.

Learning Objectives
At the end of the 2-day course, participants will be able to:
- Apply Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled skills mapping tools (e.g., digital talent analytics platforms and workforce capability mapping systems) to generate structured outputs (e.g., skills heatmaps and capability gap reports), identifying high-potential succession candidates and capability gaps
- Design evidence-based, personalised development pathways that build digital, analytical, and adaptive management capabilities in succession candidates aligned to evolving business and technology requirements
- Implement succession planning processes that account for AI-driven disruption risks, emerging digital skill demands, and the evolving management requirements of AI-enabled and technology-transformed organisations
- Deliver career coaching frameworks that align successor aspirations to emerging digital roles, leveraging digital mentorship platforms and project-based learning environments to accelerate high-potential capability development
- Apply digital talent advisory competencies to provide internal consultancy on succession strategy, ensuring talent programmes align to digital transformation objectives, emerging technology skill requirements, and evolving digital role profiles across all organisational functions
- Drive talent management strategies including, recognition, incentive, and digital capability retention frameworks, to identify, develop, and retain critical digital skills and future-ready management capabilities across the organisation
Assessment
As part of the requirement for Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA), there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion.

SkillsFuture Credit
Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.
This is only applicable to self-sponsored participants. Application to utilise SkillsFuture Credits can be submitted when making payment for the course via the SMU Academy TMS Portal, and can only be made within 60 days of course start date.

Employer Sponsored
Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
