PREREQUISITES
Participants enrolling in this course should ideally possess a foundational understanding of:
- Windows Operating System: Familiarity with navigating the Windows interface, basic system administration tasks, and core functionalities
- Basic IT concepts: A grasp of networking terminology, user accounts and permissions, and general IT security principles would be beneficial
This course is also suitable for beginners with a willingness to learn.
Overview
Participants will gain expertise in building Windows client machines, leveraging cloud resources, and securing networks with Active Directory and Group Policies. The course also covers essential Windows services like Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), Domain Name System (DNS), and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and dives into automation with Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and PowerShell scripting. By the end of the course, participants will be able to manage Windows systems, users, and security effectively, along with leveraging cloud services for enhanced functionality.

Learning Objectives
At the end of the 14-day module, participants will be able to:
- Bridge the gap between core Windows skills and modern cloud management (Azure)
- Build and secure desktops
- Manage cloud resources
- Automate and streamline tasks
- Gain hands-on experience deploying desktops, manage cloud infrastructure, and enhance network security (all essential skills for mastering both on-premise and cloud-based Windows environment)
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of every module. The mode of assessment varies depending on the modules and it will be either an online quiz or group presentation.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment for each of the 10 modules in order to be eligible for programme funding and to be awarded the digital (SCTP) Advanced Certificate in Cyber Security (Specialist) (Synchronous E-Learning) issued by Singapore Management University.

4 SkillsFuture Level-Up Programme for Mid-Career Individuals (NEW)
A SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) top-up of $4,000 will be provided to Singaporeans aged 40 years and above to further offset out-of-pocket course fees for this programme.

Self Sponsored
SkillsFuture Credit
Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.
This is only applicable to self-sponsored participants. Application to utilise SkillsFuture Credits can be submitted when making payment for the course via the SMU Academy TMS Portal, and can only be made within 60 days of course start date.
