Overview
The comprehensive programme takes you from the ground up, starting with the fundamentals of networking, operating systems, and Python scripting. Participants will then dive deep into the dual domains of cybersecurity: Offensive Operations (Red Team) and Defensive Strategies (Blue Team).
Through immersive labs and real-world scenarios, participants will master the tools and techniques used by ethical hackers to identify vulnerabilities. You will also learn how to build a robust defense, utilising security controls, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) platforms, and forensic analysis to detect and mitigate attacks. The programme culminates in two capstone projects—a Red Team penetration test and a Blue Team incident response—ensuring you gain the practical experience and confidence to step directly into a cybersecurity role.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Administer and secure both Windows (including Active Directory and Azure) and Linux operating systems
- Develop custom scripts using Python to automate security tasks and analyse data
- Conduct professional ethical hacking engagements using the Cyber Kill Chain methodology, from reconnaissance to privilege escalation
- Identify, exploit, and mitigate common web application vulnerabilities as defined by the OWASP Top 10
- Implement robust defensive strategies, including vulnerability management, risk assessment, and security controls
- Operate within a Security Operations Center (SOC) framework, utilising Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) for threat detection and analysis
- Perform digital forensics on networks, memory, and disk systems to investigate and respond to security incidents
- Effectively apply learned skills in comprehensive Red Team (offensive) and Blue Team (defensive) simulated projects
