Topic/Structure
To achieve the (SCTP) Advanced Certificate in Generative AI for Business Growth and Innovation, participants will need to complete the following modules offered by SMU Academy:
Module 1: Foundations of AI for Business Productivity
This module establishes the groundwork for understanding how Generative AI contributes to business growth and innovation across the three core pillars i.e. data intelligence (Think), business processes (Process), and communication and collaboration (Communicate). Participants then build practical prompt engineering skills from foundational to advanced, gaining the core techniques needed to interact effectively with AI tools across a range of business functions.
Module 2: Generative AI for Data, Process and Communication
Building on Module 1, this module focuses on the applied use of Generative AI across the three pillars, including data analysis and visualisation, process optimisation, and professional communication. The module concludes with customer behaviour analysis, synthesising all three pillars and preparing participants to translate insights into strategies that improve stakeholder engagement and experience.
Module 3: Strategic Generative AI Application and Automation
The final module shifts from operational productivity to higher-order application, covering AI-powered decision-making and workflow automation, moving from simple no-code workflows through to designing and optimising multi-step automated systems. The module concludes with a capstone project in which participants apply their learning across all three pillars to solve a real-world business problem.
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of every module. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment for each of the 3 modules in order to be awarded the digital (SCTP) Advanced Certificate in Generative AI for Business Growth and Innovation issued by SMU Academy.
