Overview

Gartner forecasts Worldwide IT spending to reach USD$4.5 trillion in 2022 while BusinessWire expects the global healthcare market to grow beyond USD$11 billion by 2022. What are the innovative and strategic opportunities available to Singapore based entrepreneurs and business professionals to leap frog Singapore's physical and resource limitations?

Taiwan is a global leader in smart healthcare and technology innovation, combining its world-class ICT sector with a strong healthcare system. Through initiatives like the Taiwan Excellence “Go Healthy” campaign, the country showcases award-winning medical devices, wellness solutions, and digital health products that are transforming patient care and lifestyle management.

At the same time, Taiwan is positioning itself as a hub for global health tech collaboration, with startups and research institutions pioneering AI-driven diagnostics, IoT-enabled eldercare, and cross-border partnerships in biotech and medtech. These efforts directly address pressing challenges such as aging populations, chronic disease management, and the need for sustainable healthcare models.

In addition, Taiwan Technology Arena (TTA) serves as a launchpad for global startups, connecting over 900 teams with international investors and partners. TTA champions entrepreneurship and innovation, positioning Taiwan as a hub for cross-border collaboration in health tech, AI, and IoT.
