This highly-interactive course is designed to change all that. Through hands-on activities and context-based learning, participants will work together with each other and with the trainer to demystify and decomplexify common business contracts. Learners will be provided with a foundation in contract law principles and their practical application in day-to-day business transactions. They will also gain valuable insights into the essential elements of contract formation, common contract terms, and how to effectively manage contractual dealings from a commercial and practical perspective.

While academic and theoretical mastery is not required, he/ she should, at least, be able to identify legal issues/ requirements, and be aware of the solutions and resources needed to address and comply with them. Professional-education courses imparting practical knowledge of the law do not appear to be common in Singapore, hence this programme is specifically designed to provide business owners, managers, and executives with a working knowledge of laws and legal processes related to the entire spectrum of running and managing a business.

This module provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of the PDPA, which enables businesses to apply the legislation for compliance purposes.

Post-Covid, the nature of dispute resolution has been transformed by technology. Hearings now take place over zoom, arbitrators prefer “document-only” determinations, and questions are regularly asked about whether or not AI can do legal work more efficiently than junior lawyers, or decide cases more consistently than Judges.

This module delves into the impact of data governance in today’s businesses, company objectives and stakeholders. Participants will also learn to identify and map out key stakeholder relationships, needs and interests, as well as coordinate with stakeholders in maintaining trust and assurance. 

This module teaches participants how to reduce impact to their organisation and stakeholders in the event of a data breach. Participants will learn about the major issues and challenges, how to manage perceptions and reputations, manage stakeholder communication and understand the hallmarks of a well-handled crisis.
