This module provides an overview of what AI is and how it is transforming the world. Participants will learn about the legal and ethical implications of AI and how law-makers around the world are attempting to deal with these issues.

This revolution is not leaving the legal profession untouched, with tech transforming the way lawyers can deliver their services. As law firms move to bring innovation in their places, a new way of thinking and approach require a shift in paradigms and transcend current mindsets. 

There are 10 modules offered in this programme which are organised into the following categories to better facilitate participants’ selection of modules and learning:

This module delves into IP laws and applying it to digital assets. Participants will acquire the knowledge to making proper considerations in managing and disputing IP matters. They will also learn how to manage digital assets and understand the application of IP law in this digital age.
 

This module examines the various types of offences committed in the digital space, and offers insight into the steps that have been taken to tackle this increasingly prevalent threat. Participants will also gain a deeper appreciation of the methodology, considerations and tools used to investigate and prosecute these offences, as well as understand the steps that may be taken to recover virtual property that has been removed as a consequence of a criminal offence.

“Do you do De-digitalisation?” This was a real request by an organisation that had faced big trouble in its effort to do a digital transformation. Such ‘digital disasters’ can happen when we fail to use smart technology in a smart way and ignore the other critical parts of a digital transformation: strategy, business priorities, stakeholder needs, employee interests and process design.

After attending the module, participants will be able to defer which technology can offer better ways to understand price and manage risk, or to innovate in the way that insurance is bought and sold.

This module allows participants to develop a better understanding of the distribution models to meet the evolving business dynamics and develop new demand generation strategies.

After attending this module, participants will be able to identify stages of funding and how InsurTechs receive funding. They will also better understand what InsurTech start-ups are made of and how the insurance industry is influenced by Blockchain, Robo Advice and Data Aggregation. The way in which insurers use technology to ensure better compliance with regulation will also be addressed.

This module introduces the fundamentals of InsurTech. After attending the course, participants will be able to comprehend how changes will occur in the insurance industry, and better understand how these businesses are being formed and how they vary from traditional business models.
