Overview
Adopting emerging technologies can significantly increase productivity and revenue for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), streamline workflow and enable data-driven decisions. With the right tools and systems in place, businesses can automate repetitive tasks, freeing up valuable time for employees to focus on more value-added activities.
This module focuses on the practical aspects of executing technology implementations and managing change within SMEs, offering insights into effective implementation strategies, tracking progress, and adapting to feedback. Participants will learn how to translate strategic plans into actionable steps, ensure the smooth execution of transformation initiatives, and monitor the impact of these changes, ensuring that SMEs can adapt quickly to new challenges and opportunities.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 2-day module, participants will be able to:
- Understand the importance of adopting emerging technologies for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
- Develop effective implementation strategies for technology adoption and translate strategic plans into actionable steps for technology implementation
- Monitor the impact of technology changes and adapt quickly to new challenges and opportunities
- Identify the right tools and systems to streamline workflow and enable data-driven decisions
- Understand the key steps for the successful implementation of transformation initiatives
- Develop skills to track and measure the effectiveness of transformation efforts
- Learn to adapt and refine strategies based on performance and feedback
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
