In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are facing new challenges in the emerging digital economy. To thrive in this dynamic environment, SMEs must embrace advanced strategies in business innovation, setting the stage for differentiation and scaling. Digital transformation is a crucial aspect for SMEs to remain competitive in the evolving digital landscape. Embracing technology would help SMEs lower barriers to entry, attract talent and gain productivity and efficiency. Digital infrastructure has been identified as a significant driver of long-term financial growth and adaptive capacity for SMEs.
Topic/Structure
To achieve the Advanced Certificate in Business Innovation for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), participants will need to complete the following modules offered by SMU Academy:
Module 1: Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence for SMEs
Module 2: Business Model Innovation
Module 3: Content Creation, Digital Marketing and the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence
Module 4: Identifying Growth and Sustainability Opportunities for Traditional Businesses
Module 5: Implementing Technology and Monitoring Transformation
Module 6: Leadership in SMEs
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of every module. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment for each of the 6 modules within 3 years in order to be awarded the digital Advanced Certificate in Business Innovation for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) issued by Singapore Management University.
