Singapore Management University
Who Should Attend
- AI and Machine Learning Engineers looking to build Gen AI applications
- AI Scientists
- Data Analysts
- Software Engineers
- IT Professionals and Team Leads
Participants are required to have a functional laptop with the following specifications:
- CPU: Must be at least Intel Core i3.
- GPU: Must have an integrated graphics card.
- RAM: Must be at least 4GB.
No prior experience is required. Participants are expected to be proficient in computer usage and possess fundamental logical thinking or numeracy skills. A proactive approach to learning through practical exercises is essential.
Overview
Learners work extensively with the Python ecosystem while building a solid understanding of the AI landscape. The curriculum begins with the foundations of neural networks and then advances to applications in computer vision, natural language processing and generative models that power today’s most impactful AI systems.
The programme also demonstrates how Large Language Models and Generative AI can be tailored for practical use, from automating workflows to enhancing digital products and services. Deployment strategies and best practices are introduced to ensure solutions are scalable, secure and enterprise-ready.
By the end of the programme, participants will have both the technical expertise and applied knowledge to develop and deploy AI solutions effectively, making it a strong pathway for engineers, data professionals and technology managers working on digital transformation initiatives.

Learning Objectives
- Build the Foundation for AI: Master core deep learning concepts, essential Python, and mathematical fundamentals for neural networks
- Create Practical AI Solutions: Implement and fine-tune deep learning building blocks like neural networks and backpropagation for classification and prediction
- Develop Intelligent Applications: Apply modern AI to computer vision (CNNs) and natural language processing (RNNs) for complex problem-solving
- Unlock the Power of Generative AI: Understand and implement Generative AI, including LLMs and Stable Diffusion, for content creation and interpretation
- Deploy AI Responsibly: Learn to safely and ethically implement, deploy, and scale AI, including multimodal AI and its safety/ethical considerations
