Overview
Module 2 provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the key business and marketing principles specific to the rapidly growing industry of eSports. The module covers various topics including market analysis, branding, sponsorship, advertising, event management, and digital marketing strategies tailored to the unique characteristics of the eSports ecosystem.
Participants will delve into case studies from successful eSports organizations and learn how they have effectively leveraged business strategies to achieve growth and sustainability in this dynamic industry. There will be hands-on projects enabling participants to apply their knowledge in creating effective business plans and marketing campaigns specifically designed for an eSports audience. Learning Objectives
At the end of the 2-day module, participants will be able to:
- Understand the key business models and revenue streams in the eSports industry, including sponsorship, advertising, media rights, and merchandise sales
- Analyze the impact of digital marketing strategies on audience engagement and brand building within the eSports ecosystem
- Evaluate the role of data analytics in informing strategic decision-making for eSports businesses, including player performance analysis and fan behavior insights
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of event management and promotion techniques specific to eSports tournaments and live events
- Formulate effective business strategies for monetizing content creation in eSports through platforms such as streaming services, social media channels, and influencer partnerships
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
