Overview
Module 5 is designed to provide participants with an understanding of the intricacies involved in organising, managing, and producing successful eSports events. This module will cover key aspects such as event planning, budgeting, marketing strategies, production logistics, technical requirements, and audience engagement.
Participants will explore the unique challenges and opportunities associated with hosting eSports events on both online platforms and physical venues, and gain insights into leveraging technology for live streaming, commentary, stage design, lighting effects, sound engineering, and other essential elements that contribute to creating an immersive experience for participants and spectators.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 2-day module, participants will be able to:
- Understand the key components of event management and production in the eSports industry, including venue selection, logistics planning, and technical requirements
- Analyse the unique challenges and opportunities associated with organizing eSports events, such as audience engagement strategies and live streaming technologies
- Develop proficiency in budgeting and financial management specific to eSports event production, including cost estimation, revenue generation, and sponsorship acquisition
- Demonstrate knowledge of risk assessment and crisis management techniques relevant to eSports event operations, ensuring a safe and secure environment for participants and attendees
- Apply project management principles to plan, execute, and evaluate an eSports event from conception to post-event analysis while considering industry best practices for successful execution.
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
