Overview
Module 6 provides an in-depth exploration of data analysis and performance metrics within the context of eSports. Participants will learn how to collect, analyse, and interpret data related to player performance, team strategies, audience engagement, and business operations within the eSports industry. The module covers various analytical tools and techniques used to measure key performance indicators (KPIs) such as win rates, kill/death ratios, average game duration, viewership statistics, and revenue generation. By the end of this module, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of how data analysis drives decision-making processes across different facets of the eSports ecosystem while gaining practical skills in utilising relevant tools for effective performance measurement and strategic planning.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 2-day module, participants will be able to:
• Understand the fundamental concepts and principles of data analysis as it applies to eSports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and statistical measures commonly used in the industry
• Develop proficiency in using relevant data analysis tools and software to interpret and analyze performance metrics in eSports, such as player statistics, team dynamics, and game outcomes
• Apply critical thinking skills to evaluate the impact of performance metrics on strategic decision-making within the eSports industry, including player recruitment, team management, and competitive gameplay strategies
• Demonstrate the ability to create actionable insights from data analysis findings that can be utilized to optimise team performance, enhance fan engagement, and drive business growth within the digital economy ecosystem of eSports
• Collaborate with peers to design and execute a comprehensive data-driven project focused on analyzing performance metrics in eSports
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
